North America Weed Association Mapping Standards
Resources on the Web for viewing maps:
  • Google maps (has satellite imagery option)
  • Map Quest (good for street maps)
  • Maps on Us (can return a lat/long for a point location)
  • Topo Zone (enter a Place name, view the location on a USGS Topo map)
  • Google Earth (enter a Place name, and “fly” to that location…quality of satellite imagery varies)
    (requires broadband connection and does not run on older computers)

  • The Global Invasive Species Database was developed by the IUCN/SSC Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG) as part of the global initiative on invasive species led by the Global Invasive Species Programme (GISP)
